The CroAN Board of Directors has 5 members whose functions are voluntary:
The Board of Directors defines the proposal of the Statute and its amendments, selects and dismisses the secretary and treasurer of CroAN, determines the proposal of the financial plan and the final account, submits to the General Assembly the annual report on its work, decides on admission and exclusion from membership, decides on change of headquarters of CroAN, decides on the use of CroAN assets, initiates proceedings in the Court, determines the cost of CroAN membership, proposes the members of the Supervisory Board and the Chancellor of the Election Court at the CroAN General Assembly, establishes committees, commissions and other courses of action that help achieve the goals of CroAN and performs all other activities that the Assembly places on its competence.
President of CroAN Dora Bučan Nenadić, mag. Nutr.
She graduated Nutrition from the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb. After graduation, she worked as a trainee at the Department of Public Health of the Split-Dalmatia County, and then joined the Aqua Med team as an external associate. Since 2015, she has been employed at the Clinical Hospital Center in Split and the focus of her work and future research is clinical nutrition and dietotherapy. In 2017 she was elected to the Supervisory Board of the Croatian Federation of Nutritionists. She is an active member of the Organizing Committee of the International Congress of Nutritionists and a participant of numerous scientific conferences in Croatia and Europe. In 2018 she became a member of the FENS (Federation of European Nutrition Societies) working group for food-based dietary guidelines. She is the head of several projects and an external associate at the Medical School in Split.
Vice-President of CroAN Mašenjka Katić, M.Sc.
She graduated from Nutrition at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology at the University of Zagreb and started her career as a nutritionist at Dubrava Clinical Hospital in 1993. After finishing an international business management study at the Faculty for Engineering in Zagreb, her work continues in the food industry in the managerial functions of product research and development. For several years she has been working in the United States, where she is a guest researcher at the National Institute of Cancer at National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has published professional and scientific papers in the field of nutrition and is a lecturer at numerous domestic and foreign conferences. She is also a consultant in the research and development of products and promotion of a regular diet and an active member of the Committee for Health Tourism and Medical Medicine of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Croatia and the Committee for Health Tourism Association of Croatian-American Experts - ACAP.
Secretary of CroAN Dora Babić Cikoš , PhD
JDora is one of the founders of the Croatian Association of Nutritionists where she currently performs duties of the treasurer. She was the President of Association since its establishment in 2011 until November 2014. In 2011 she graduated from the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb in the field of nutrition and is currently at the same Faculty, earning a PhD degree in the field of Nutritional Science. During her professional work in the field of nutrition, she performed as a guest speaker at the Student Congress "Nutrition and clinical diet therapy" in 2010 and 2011; in 2012 as a guest speaker at the 2nd Conference of Health Tourism and in 2013 as a guest speaker at the 4th Congress of the Coordination of Family Medicine. Since 2013 she works as a nutritional associate of the web-portal coolinarika.hr. She has participated in all projects of CroAN including the organization of the 1st and 2nd International Congress of Nutritionists in 2013 and 2014 where she was vice president and president of the Organizing Committee.
Treasurer of CroAN – Ivana Linardić, MSc Nutrition
Ivana graduated Nutrition science from the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb in 2011. During her master study, she spent one semester in Belgium, at the Ghent University as a member of Erasmus student programme. She was involved in First Student Congress of Clinical Diet in Rijeka organized by Faculty of Medicine. Since 2012 Ivana has been working in clinical drug testing. During her professional occupation in nutrition, she used to practice nutrition counseling and compose individual diet plans. She became a member of Croatian Association of Nutritionists from the beginnings of the Association. In 2013 Ivana became a member of the Organizing Committee of the International Congress of Nutritionists.
Member of Board of Directors – Marija Petras, MSc Nutrition
Marija graduated Nutrition science in September 2013 from the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology in Zagreb. She is currently studying to earn a PhD at postgraduate study of Biotechnology and Bioprocess Engineering, Food Technology and Nutrition - study programme Nutrition Science. She won a Rector’s award in 2011/2012 for her student work on topic "Effect of polyphenols from wine and wine sediment on antioxidant status in CBA mice“. In 2014 and 2015 Marija volunteered at Nutritional advisory center as an expert associate. She became a member of the Croatian Association of Nutritionists in 2016 and also volunteered in organizing the 4th International Congress of Nutritionists. In 2016 she became a secretary of Association and a member of the Organizing Committee of the 5th International Congress of Nutritionists. Marija currently works as a food product development technologist.
